GIZ | Protecting forests and the environment in Cameroon

In Cameroon’s northernmost region, deforestation and desertification put people’s livelihoods at risk. As trees protect the soil against erosion, retain water, fertilise plants and provide shade & fire wood, forests are key to sustaining the livelihoods of rural communities.

In a 360-degree movie, GIZ tells the story of three forest and landscape restoration champions in Mogzang. GIZ’s Forest and Environment Project (ProFE) supports their effort and their community.
