Bonn Alliance for Sustainability Research | Annual Report 2020

The Bonn Alliance for Sustainability Research was founded in November 2017 at COP23 under the leadership of the University of Bonn with the aim of strengthening knowledge and skills for sustainability research. In addition to the University of Bonn with the Center for Development Research (ZEF), the following institutions are united in the Bonn Alliance: BICC (Bonn International Center for Conversion), the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS), and the Institute for Environment and Human Security of the United Nations University (UNU-EHS).

The Bonn Alliance takes into account the complexity of the problems and issues in the sustainability landscape through networked science. The common goal is to scientifically support the implementation of the UN Agenda 2030 from the local to the global level. To this end, the Bonn Alliance and its partner institutions combine university and non- university research and both applied and fundamental sciences.

In its Annual Report 2020, the Bonn Alliance for Sustainability Research reports on network dynamics in the digital space, digital events and panels, new topics and collaborations in research, teaching and transfer and much more. The report is now available for download at: https://t.co/ClAv48ACGU
