EADI | Supporting the building-up of partnerships for education in Northern Europe at Bridge 47 – Building Global Citizenship

In 2019, EADI started a collaborative partnership with MUNDU Denmark, IDEA Scotland, the University of Stirling, and the Liverpool World Centre, with the goal of building-up a knowledge exchange partnership in Northern Europe. Other actors came on board, as GERIF (Global Education Research in Finland) network, a collective of academics of Finland working on global citizenship education for several years, and a variety of recognized experts on critical global citizenship education.

Two regional meetings took place between 2019 and 2020, and members of the partnership participated and continue doing so in other Bridge 47 related events, as the Global Network meetings, Envision 4.7, advocacy and policy groups. Lately, members of this partnership have been introduced to the other regional partnerships to support further collaboration in projects especially research papers, publications in indexed academic journals, participation in conferences at the European and global levels, among others.

Dr. Andrea Bullivant, consultant at the Liverpool World Centre (United Kingdom) coordinated this process. She took on the coordination of the partnership and the organization of high-level expert seminars with great success.

EADI will continue this work with like-minded partners interested in advancing the cause of education through partnerships for development.
