23.01.2020 | DEval : How to evaluate climate change adaptation – challenges, new approaches and tools in evaluating sustainable development

DEval invites you to a presentation and discussion with Emilie Beauchamp and Stefano D’Errico from the International Institute for Environmental Development (IIED), one of the leading policy research institutes in the field of environment and development.

Within the IIED’s Strategy and Learning Group, Emilie Beauchamp and Stefano D’Errico deal with methodological questions of evaluating sustainable development interventions and policies, including developing new approaches, guides and tools for national governments and practitioners.

In the face of the severity of climate change, policy makers and practitioners need to know what works for human and environmental systems to adapt to climate change. The evaluation community plays a critical role to support evidence-based sustainable development policies. The two guests will share guidelines to commission national evaluations and discuss experiences, new approaches and tools from practical application in the field of climate change adaptation more specifically. The presentation and discussion will be held in English.
