The state government of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Federal Environment Ministry are inviting the accredited delegates, observers, participants and journalists at the United Nations Climate Change Conference to explore the innovative energy region of NRW.
In the period from 7 to 16 November 2017 the state of NRW is offering eighteen highly diverse excursions to view exemplary energy projects from the energy region of North Rhine-Westphalia. The beacon projects from NRW being presented highlight the fact that the Energiewende (Energy Turnaround) in Germany has reached all levels of society and its implementation is now a task involving society as a whole.
In this energy intensive state economics and climate protection go hand in hand, and the rising energy efficiency is increasingly giving companies in the region a competitive advantage. With the presented solutions of climate protection visitors of COP 23 will be able to take home to their own countries useful information gleaned from the examples presented. This means that an active exchange of views on best practice examples is being vigorously promoted on an international level.
The day-long excursions, each of which will also culminate in a tourist highlight, can be booked free of charge. All destinations can accommodate groups of up to 40 persons – and so you should register promptly. Registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received.
