UNSSC: Consultant (home-based) for an Online Course on Gender and 2030 Agenda

The UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in Bonn, Germany is currently looking for an Independent Consultant who can support the development of a tutored online course on gender and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The candidate should have an advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Gender Studies, or other relevant discipline, hold at least 7 years of professional experience on gender equality and women’s empowerment, and have previous experience of working with the UN.

The Consultant will work in close collaboration with the Course Coordinators at UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development and is expected to:

  • Design and develop the online tutored course curriculum, including the overall and specific learning objectives, identification of the renowned experts/speakers; preparation of case studies and country examples representing different regions and country settings; exercises, assignments, collaborative learning activities and quizzes (with questions and guided response);
  • Identify required multimedia components;
  • Prepare the resource workbook, including key takeaways, essential and optional reading materials and resources.
