ICLEI welcomes you to a special one day forum on Resilient Urban Food Systems at this year’s Resilient Cities congress!

Join the forum as part of the three day congress, or attend with a special one day admittance and fee.

ICLEI welcomes interest from local governments, organizations, businesses and professionals working in the field to attend and for partnership opportunities.

Where: Gustav-Stresemann-Institut e.V., Langer Grabenweg 68, D-53175 Bonn – Bad Godesberg

Format: Panel discussion followed by interactive and participatory workshops showcasing leading cities from around the world. Outcomes will include commitment from city officials on resilient urban food systems.  Attendees will take part in dialogue and contribute to these outcomes.

Objectives
  • A forum for actors in the city-region food system to come together to discuss and put into action the implementation of resilient food systems within cities around the world;
  • To generate heightened awareness and strengthened political commitment in local governments in order to create resilient urban food systems; and
  • To foster knowledge sharing and learning, across diverse cities and between sectors, with ongoing benefits for communities, local governments, businesses, researchers, NGOs and international organizations.
