What are the transformations in the global society shaping the development of development theory? Which challenges arising from development policy does the discipline have to deal with? And what are the theoretical innovations influencing research in this field? Has development theory recovered from its crisis or is it on the decline?
This Public Lecture is part of a workshop on development theory (“Entwicklungstheorien: Weltgesellschaftliche Transformationen, entwicklungspolitische Herausforderungen, theoretische Innovationen”) which will take place at ZEF and is sponsored by the Thyssen foundation.
