03. – 05.07.2012| WWEA and BWE: 11th World Wind Energy Conference & Renewable Energy Exhibition WWEC2012. Extension of deadline for submission of abstracts : 27 February 2012

The World Wind Energy Association WWEA and the German Wind Energy Association BWE invite the world wind community to the 11th World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition WWEC2012, taking place 3-5 July 2012 in Bonn, Germany, under the main theme: Community Power – Citizens’ Power.

Due to many requests from around the world, the organisers have decided to extend the deadline for submission of abstracts until 27 February 2012.

WWEC2012 will be the international number one event of the year 2012. It has already obtained support from many important international organizations.

Submit an abstract for WWEC2012: 

Choose one of the topics below, present it from your point of view and send the abstract to wwec2012@wwindea.org by 27 February 2012, adding in the e-mail title “Abstract for WWEC2012”!

Conference topics: 

  1. Cooperative, community and similar ownership and business models for industrialized and for developing countries
  2. Local, national and regional policies, barriers, incentives
  3. International frameworks and programmes
  4. Financing community power projects: Equity, loans and other measures 
  5. Local and regional plans for 100 % renewable energy supply, system integration and optimization
  6. Small wind energy systems, their potential role, and what policies are necessary
  7. Hybrid systems and storage
  8. Industrial strategies and creation of local manufacturing capacities
  9. Local municipalities and local utilities
  10. Wind turbine technology, systems, and components
  11. Wind resource assessment and prediction
  12. Wind farm planning
  13. Monitoring, operation and maintenance of wind farms
  14. Research, training and education

Requirements:

All abstracts should be concise and clearly state results, objectives or key components of the paper. They should not exceed 500 words and should contain a list of key words. An electronic copy (in doc format) must be submitted before 27 February 2012 to: wwec2012@wwindea.org
