ICLEI | Learn from European Green Capital Network leaders how to improve your city’s environmental performance

Cities committed to improving their sustainability indicators and turning environmental challenges into opportunities are invited to participate in a new webinar series hosted by the European Green Capital Network (EGCN), taking place in September.

The EGCN represents the former European Green Capital Award winners and finalists who are model cities in integrated environmental management and urban sustainability.

Throughout 2018-2020, the EGCN is developing five toolkits to share its expertise with other cities and provide recommendations and strategies around key thematic visions for sustainable urban development spanning making cities: Future-Proof, 100% Renewable, Zero Waste, and Human Scale. The fifth toolkit focuses on offering guidance for cities interested in applying for the prestigious European Green Capital Award.

The webinar series will dive deeply into each of these vision clusters and provide a platform for exchange with EGCN experts. Each webinar is free to attend and offers insider tips, as well as the opportunity to learn and share concrete experiences on best practices and challenges. Please find instructions on how to register below.

Learn from the EGCN member cities, including ICLEI Members: Brussels and Ghent (Belgium); Copenhagen (Denmark); Lahti (Finland); Dijon, Lille, Nantes and Strasbourg (France); Freiburg, Hamburg and Münster (Germany); Reykjavik (Iceland); Nijmegen (the Netherlands); Oslo (Norway); Lisbon (Portugal); Ljubljana (Slovenia); Barcelona and Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain); Malmö, Stockholm and Umeå (Sweden); Bristol and Glasgow (United Kingdom). Other EGCN member cities include: ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Amsterdam, Essen, Frankfurt, Grenoble, Nuremberg, Tallinn and Turin.
