Plants species have accompanied humans since the very beginning. While some species, such as cereals, were brought on purpose to new places, others were carried unknowingly. Many species can establish themselves in the new areas and become a stable element of the flora. Some of them may become problematic, such as the Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera). Along the rivers, it has largely replaced native species, which can be easily observed at the mouth of the Sieg river. This guided tour presents some invasive species.
