UNU-EHS is excited to announce the upcoming 2016 Intensive Summer Course “Advancing Disaster Risk Reduction to Enhance Sustainable Development in a Changing World.”
The course aims to instruct and introduce participants to best risk management practices, environmental vulnerability assessment, disaster management within national and international organizations, and international law on disaster risk reduction (DRR), development, and climate change adaptation (CCA). The applicants are expected to come from an academic or employment background related to DRR or CCA.
Qualified PhD candidates in their early stages of research, Master’s candidates in their late stages of study, and practitioners working in related fields are welcome to apply for the course.
The next two-week long course is slated for early summer 2016 and will be held at the UN Campus in Bonn. The 2016 official call for applications will be available starting in early 2016. Please check back on our website for updates, call for applications and save the date!
