    ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, the World Mayors Council on Climate Change and the City of Bonn are pleased to announce the new edition of the Resilient Cities congress series, the annual global forum on urban resilience.

    Preceding and during the UNFCCC Bonn Climate Talks (14 to 26 May 2012)

    Due to numerous requests, the deadline of the call for contributions has been extended until 10 January 2012. For the 2012 congress the organisers welcome proposals for presentations, panels, workshops, posters and co-events.

    Adaptation and resilience-building experts willing to contribute shaping the Resilient Cities 2012 program are invited to submit their contributions using the online submission system available on the congress website.

    The themes for the call for contributions are:

    • Urban risk assessment and management
    • Socio-economic dimensions of climate change adaptation
    • Institutional dimensions
    • Strategy, policy integration and mainstreaming
    • Urban adaptation planning and practice: Experiences and solutions (including urban design)
    • Resilient infrastructure (including urban logistics)
    • Financing the resilient city

    The extended submission deadline is 10 January 2012. This will be the last opportunity to shape the program: send your contribution now!
