15 – 18 September 2010 | Changing Course – Reclaiming our future

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Right Livelihood Awards, all Award Laureates will be invited to Bonn, Germany, from September 15th-18th, 2010. The conference in Bonn is made possible thanks to the invitation by the City of Bonn, which, in co-operation with the Foundation for Environment and Development North Rhine-Westphalia and the Foundation for International Dialogue of the Savings Bank in Bonn, will host and organise the conference.

During a press conference, Jakob von Uexkull, Founder and Chairman of the Right Livelihood Award Foundation, also announced details of the 30th Anniversary Conference of the Right Livelihood Awards in Bonn from September 15-18, 2010.

“For the 30th time, this prize has brought together four outstanding individuals. I have always regarded this award as a shared award, because today, our problems are global and inter-connected, and so must be our solutions.

For 30 years, our Laureates have warned about the effects of our current course of development in many fields, and highlighted viable alternatives. We hope that this conference will be a wake-up call, and an inspiration, for a profound change of course in order to secure our common future.” Jakob von Uexkull
