EADI | MOOC on Global Citizenship Education – jointly developed by EADI, Bridge 47 and Centro per la Cooperazione Internazionale

[:en]

As part of our engagement in the Bridge 47 Project we were able to develop a massive open online course (MOOC) introducing the concept of Global Citizenship Education (GCE). It covers the basic concepts, the approaches, and the possible applications of GCE. The course is free and open to learners from all over the world with an interest in the topic. It is structured in nine Modules which are convened by academics and practitioners and the coordinators of the Knowledge Exchange Partnerships of Bridge 47.

An opportunity to learn: The nine Modules are convened by academics and practitioners and the coordinators of the Knowledge Exchange Partnerships of Bridge 47.

Six modules form the course “Introduction to Global Citizenship Education”, each featuring a video lecture, and recommended reading material. Participants who complete the six modules with self-evaluations will be issued with a certificate. It is also possible to take the course without self-evaluations.

Three additional informative modules present the theme of how to develop appropriate, inclusive models for dissemination, teaching, and research of GCE in global society through the experience of the Bridge 47 regional European Knowledge Exchange Partnerships.
