Public authorities can now submit their applications to the 2021 edition of the Procura+ Awards, which recognise procurement and related initiatives that have made remarkable economic, environmental and social impacts, and that demonstrate innovation.
The application period is open until 31 March 2021.
Winning public authorities receive a trophy and promotional opportunities. Their activities will be endorsed widely through a variety of ICLEI publications and channels. Furthermore, a case study profiling each activity will be produced and disseminated on the Sustainable Procurement Platform and the Innovation Procurement Platform. Winners will also be granted free entry and a presentation slot at the next ICLEI conference.
ICLEI Members have featured prominently among previous award winners. Most recently, Member Haarlem (The Netherlands) was one of the 2020 winners for its cooperative approach to supplier management to forge a circular and sustainable city.
Applicants in previous editions have highlighted that participating in the Procura+ Award helped them to benchmark their work and to gain visibility. For winners, it was an excellent way to prove their commitment to sustainability and innovation, as well as to earn internal and external recognition.
The Procura+ award is an ICLEI Europe initiative supported by the EU-funded Procure2Innovate project.
