The United Nations System Staff College and IE University have embarked on an academic partnership to jointly launch a master’s program with a special focus on sustainable development. The one-year Master in International Development (MID)program will equip the next generation of leaders and policy-makers with key skills and competencies required to address the complex challenges highlighted by the 2030 Agenda.
The curriculum has been jointly designed by the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development together with the IE School of Global and Public Affairs. The program includes an immersion week in a United Nations operation where candidates will gain first-hand experience of development work being carried out within an international organisation.

IE University is organising an information session on the master’s programin Bonn on the sidelines of the SDG Global Festival of Action. During the information session, representatives from IE University and UNSSC will be available to provide interested candidates with more information about the joint UNSSC-IE master’s program. The information session will also include a talk on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by Simona Costanzo Sow, Learning Portfolio Manager at UNSSC.
