Inhalt: On 12 December 2015 the United Nations adopted a new and universal climate agreement at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris that marks a watershed in international climate politics. Yet, what to make of the Paris Agreement? What follows for the immediate and long-term future of global climate governance? This talk traces the evolution of the UN climate regime from the inception of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to the Paris Agreement and discusses whether international climate policy is finally coming of age.
