Researcher in conflict-sensitive energy policies in the MENA region
Full-time position / Initial contract period: until end of 2017
Starting date: as soon as possible e.g. 1 April 2015

Key responsibilities:
The researcher’s main task will be to co-ordinate a co-operative three-year research project on sustainable and conflict-sensitive energy pathways for MENA-countries, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and jointly carried out by five institutions. The project design combines scenario development, empirical field research, multi-criteria analysis and participative processes and includes case studies for Morocco, Egypt and Jordan. Besides the research co-ordination the project provides opportunities for own research and publication activities. The researcher will also be responsible for liaising with BMZ/GIZ and for building and maintaining a network with relevant entities in the MENA region.
