Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility: Environmental protection, disaster management and education are the focus areas in Deutsche Post DHL’ s commitment to social responsibility:
- GoGreen minimizes the impact of actions on the environment by using resources in a responsible manner. DHL has been the first global logistics company to set a quantified C02 efficiency target. By 2020, it is intended to improve the energy efficiency by 30 percent compared with 2007 – using such measures as more efficient transport, optimized planning, alternative sources of energy and innovative technologies.
- Together with their partners, DHL strives to improve people’s living conditions. Their core logistics expertise helps them achieve these goals. As partner with the United Nations, DHL provides effective emergency aid in areas affected by natural disasters. They also organize training programs in regions at risk to prepare for logistics challenges in emergencies. With the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) they have established a partnership to reduce child mortality. GoHelp
- GoTeach stands for the commitment to better education and to equal opportunities for education. Education is a prerequisite for social progress. That’s why DHL is promoting and developing initiatives that support individuals in their development and expand their skill set.
