UNU: Meet the Jargon Buster App

UNU-EHS, together with the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), are the latest partners to UNU’s Jargon Buster app developed by UNU-MERIT.

The Jargon Buster app features thousands terms and acronyms from the UN system, allowing scholars, practitioners and generally anyone interested to gain better understanding of the day-to-day terminology used at the United Nations. The terms are further cross-referenced with the Sustainable Development Goals, putting them into a greater global perspective of the UN’s vision and work. The app aims to act as a bridge between the UN, academia and the general public.

The 2.0 version of the Jargon Buster app will be available for download on 15 April 2016.
