“Jane’s Journey” with a following Q&A with the director Lorenz Knauer
Jane’s Journey is a portrait of the private person behind the world-famous icon Jane Goodall. It is the story of an exceptional, fascinating woman. With its unhurried pace and unobtrusive camera, this documentary shows the charismatic and eloquent Dr. Goodall as she has never been seen before. Please find more information here

Wednesday, February 18, 17:30 – 18:30 h | ZEF, right conference room

“Lampedusa in Berlin” with Q&A session with director Mauro Mondello
The story begins in Benghazi, Libya in February 2011 and ends in the center of Berlin, Germany, in 2013. In this period, dozens of African refugees were immigrants in Libya and had to leave the country during the Libyan civil war. Most of them crossed over to Lampedusa, Italy. But they couldn’t stay. In February 2013, the Italian Government declared the end of the so-called North African Emergency and many of the refugees tried to find another place to stay. A few of them decided to come to Berlin to build up a protest camp at Oranienplatz, in the center of Berlin. This is the story of extremely vulnerable people struggling for their lives. Please find more information here

All screenings are free of charge and open to the public.
